What counts as a repetition problem

Repeating a word isn't automatically a defect. Technical writing repeats key terms on purpose — a setup guide that calls the same button "the button" every time is doing its job. What this tool looks for isn't repetition itself, it's repetition close enough together that a reader notices the word rather than the meaning: the same word three or more times inside a handful of sentences, or a sentence opener that shows up so often it turns into a verbal tic.

Proper nouns are excluded on purpose

If your product is called "Kubernetes" or "Acme," it should appear in most sentences of a document about it — that's not a defect, it's the subject. This tool suppresses cluster findings for any term that's capitalized in every occurrence, since that's the signature of a proper noun, not a weak word choice.

Keyword density is a myth worth retiring

The frequency table exists because people ask for it, not because hitting some keyword percentage helps anything.
